Discovering Love at the 15th Dokonsai Summer Garden Party
The Japan Marriage Support Association (JMSA), headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce its upcoming matchmaking event, the
15th Dokonsai – 2025 Summer Garden Party. Scheduled for
July 27 and
August 2, 2025, this unique occasion is set to unfold in the picturesque
Kiyosumi Garden in Koto City, Tokyo. Due to overwhelming demand, the spots for female attendees are already fully booked, with
only male participants currently being accepted.
A Special Matchmaking Experience
This event caters specifically to single men and women who are seriously considering marriage. The venue, the
Taisho Memorial Hall located within Kiyosumi Garden, provides a beautifully natural setting that encourages open and comfortable conversations among attendees. The tranquil atmosphere of the
garden, protected as a public park, fosters a perfect environment for genuine connections and interactions.
To enhance compatibility, the event includes age-specific sessions, allowing singles aged
30 to 45 years and
24 to 35 years to meet peers within a similar age bracket. This thoughtful structure increases the likelihood of meaningful interactions, and success rates in past events speak for themselves.
In 2025 alone, the Dokonsai series has already hosted four events from
March to May, welcoming a total of
213 participants from
470 applicants. From this, an impressive
22.6% matching rate was achieved, with
24 couples finding their first-choice matches. Attendees frequently express their satisfaction, stating that they appreciated engaging with multiple participants and highlighted the supportive role of the staff.
A Serene Venue Surrounded by Nature
The
Kiyosumi Garden, located in Koto City, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and is recognized as one of Tokyo's designated historic sites. Its
pond-based strolling garden offers a peaceful backdrop, allowing participants to relax and engage in enjoyable conversations amidst vibrant greenery. With the lush surroundings, the garden creates an idyllic setting for love to bloom.
Understanding Fellow Attendees
Before the event, participants are encouraged to fill out a survey to share their interests and outlook on marriage. This data will be compiled into a
Participant List, sent out on the day of the event to facilitate connections. Currently, parts of the survey results are accessible online, providing insights into the thoughts and attitudes towards marriage from confirmed attendees. This initiative aims to prepare potential participants with a better understanding of the other attendees, enhancing their networking experience.
