The 8th Okayama Children's Future Musical 'Harold!'

The 8th Okayama Children's Future Musical, titled 'Harold!', is slated for performances on September 22 and 23, 2026, at the Okayama Future Hall. This much-anticipated event is co-organized by Ohayo Holdings Co., Ltd. and Life Design Kabaya Co., Ltd., both based in Okayama City. Recently, the child performers and staff have been officially announced during a special event held on July 18, where the public got their first glimpse of the talented participants.

In June, auditions were held to select children and supporting volunteers who will take part in the performances. A total of 131 applications were received from kids in the third grade of elementary school through third grade of high school, all from Okayama Prefecture, along with a few adults stepping up as support volunteers. After a rigorous selection process, the organizers finalized the roster, which includes 52 child performers, 7 child staff members, and 2 volunteer supports, amassing a total of 61 participants.

Rehearsals started in earnest on July 19 as the team prepares for the big event in September. The previous iteration of the production took place in Osaka at the Kansai Expo Hall, and now the musical returns to its roots in Okayama, stepping into an exciting new chapter.
