New Talent Awaits: The 6th Shueisha Girls' and Women's Manga Grand Prix
LINE Digital Frontier Inc., headquartered in Tokyo’s Minato Ward, is thrilled to announce the sixth edition of the
Shueisha Girls' and Women's Manga Grand Prix powered by LINE Manga Indies. This competition is a collaboration with Shueisha’s renowned girls' and women’s comic editorial departments and will officially commence on
January 22, 2026.
About the Competition
This prestigious manga award aims to discover new talents through open submissions of original manga works, with participation from eight illustrious editorial teams including
Ribon, Margaret, BetsuMaga, Manga Mee, Cookie, KimiKoi, Coco Hana, and
Digital Margaret. These departments are calling for creative submissions, regardless of genre or format, including webtoons and horizontal (left-to-right) reading styles.
Prize Details
The grand prize winner will receive a fantastic reward of
1 million yen along with the coveted serialization rights in Shueisha magazines and on LINE Manga. Other award categories will also be honored, including:
- - 準グランプリ (Runner-Up): 300,000 yen
- - 特別賞 (Special Award): 100,000 yen
- - ネーム賞 (Name Award): 50,000 yen
- - 期待賞 (Expectation Award): 50,000 yen
Additionally, all awardees will be assigned an editorial manager from one of the participating magazines to assist in their future endeavors.

Submission Guidelines
- - Application Period: January 22, 2026 - May 6, 2026, by 11:59 PM.
- - Genres and Formats: No restrictions on performance; both manga and name submissions are welcomed. Typically, a minimum of three episodes is recommended for serialized works.

Selection Schedule
- - Submission Deadline: May 6, 2026
- - 1st Round Results Announcement: June 12, 2026
- - Final Results Declaration: July 13, 2026
A rigorous selection process will take place in which submissions will first undergo initial screenings by editorial departments, followed by final evaluations where award recipients will be determined. Notably, there will not be a preliminary announcement for submissions in the name category.
