Illustrator Kei Mochizuki's Second Solo Exhibition "Zokuse" Set to Showcase Over 100 Works

Kei Mochizuki's Exhibit "Zokuse" to Open at Ikebukuro PARCO



Beginning on November 21, 2025, and running through December 15, 2025, the highly anticipated second solo exhibition titled "Zokuse" by illustrator Kei Mochizuki will take place at Ikebukuro PARCO. This event marks six years since the artist's last exhibition and promises a rich collection of artwork that showcases Mochizuki’s versatile talents across various genres. Approximately 100 artworks, including newly created pieces as well as original illustrations, will be on display.

Mochizuki, renowned for her distinctive character designs and compelling illustrations, previously exhibited her work in 2019 under the title "A Form of Love". This year's theme, "Zokuse," reflects the artist's intention to foster deeper connections between creators and fans amidst the overwhelming noise of information in contemporary society. The exhibition aims to highlight the true value of art and the creative process, providing a space for attendees to appreciate and engage with Mochizuki’s work on a more profound level.

A Wealth of Exclusive Merchandise


Accompanying the exhibition, a variety of original goods will be available for purchase. These include high-quality reproductions, acrylic stands, blocks, badges, stickers, metal charms, and apparel such as pullovers and t-shirts featuring Mochizuki's art. Notably, fans will also find exclusive items inspired by newly created illustrations, including Sakura Craypas packaged uniquely and a plush toy designed after Fate/Grand Order's character, Barvan C.

Thematic Exhibition Space


The exhibition space will thoughtfully explore three main themes: Boredom, Noise, and Blindness, creating a narrative that encourages visitors to confront the overwhelming influx of information that often obscures the essence of artistic expression. The designs and thematic direction have been meticulously curated by art director Tomoyuki Arima from the Japan Design Center. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage closely with the illustrations, allowing for an immersive reflection on Mochizuki's artistry.

Artists' Statements


Mochizuki commented on the significance of her exhibition: "I chose to hold this exhibition to delve into what it means to be an illustrator in this world, and to explore my values and thoughts through the art I create. It brings me joy to share these moments with visitors, and I look forward to giving my all in this endeavor."

Tomoyuki Arima also expressed excitement about the exhibition, noting, "I feel a connection with Mochizuki's work regarding hope and anxiety in our current environment. I believe something new is unfolding here, and I encourage everyone to look forward to this creative experience."

Mochizuki is a versatile illustrator known for her powerful line work and ability to convey emotional depth in her pieces. She began her career as a freelancer in 2015 and has contributed her unique vision to a range of projects including games, music, and literature. Her notable works include character designs for Fate/Grand Order's Barvan C, Touken Ranbu's Kyogoku Masamune, and the Racing Miku 2025 Version. Continuing to evolve her art, Mochizuki remains an influential figure in the contemporary illustration scene.
