From February 24 to 26, 2026, participants who completed their online training had the opportunity to engage in a field research program in the advanced Adventure Tourism region of Akanko and Teshikaga. Participants had the chance to experience the natural beauty and immersive community efforts, thus refining their roadmaps to enhance their own regions’ tourism strategies.

1. Day 1: Learning and Exploration
Engaged in lecture sessions about national parks and local community development at Kawakami Onsen, followed by a fieldwork session to understand the Kushiro River source network.

2. Day 2: Active Experience
Participants felt the potential of the natural environment firsthand with activities such as canoeing along the Kushiro River and participating in snow walks at Bokke Forest.

3. Day 3: Workshop and Reflection
In a reflective session, participants worked to refine their regional development strategies, concluding with discussions on applying their newfound knowledge in future business endeavors.
