Holland America Line Introduces New Oosterdam Voyages for 2027 After Major Transformation

Holland America Line Launches New Oosterdam Voyages

Holland America Line has officially opened bookings for five newly added sailings aboard the transformed Oosterdam. This exciting development comes after the ship underwent extensive renovations in a project costing hundreds of millions of dollars as part of the Holland America Evolution initiative, the largest fleet upgrade in the company's rich, 153-year history.

The new voyages will begin on October 31, 2027, allowing travelers to embark on a unique adventure filled with stunning destinations and experiences. The flagship journey is a thrilling 10-day Adriatic Antiquities cruise that sets sail from Rome to Trieste, featuring stops at remarkable sites like Pompeii, the charming Greek island of Corfu, the breathtaking Bay of Kotor in Montenegro, and the picturesque Croatian coastline. This cruise provides an incredible opportunity for guests to be among the first to experience the newly enhanced Oosterdam.

Beth Bodensteiner, President of Holland America Line, expressed her excitement, stating, "One of the great joys of travel is being among the first to discover something new, and these voyages give guests that opportunity aboard Oosterdam... We’re delighted to welcome guests aboard these inaugural post-Evolution sailings and invite them to experience a transformation that builds on everything they love about Holland America Line while introducing what comes next."

A New Chapter for Oosterdam

The return of Oosterdam to the seas marks a significant milestone in the Holland America Evolution plan. This multiyear modernization effort aims to bring Pinnacle Class innovations to a broader range of ships, enhancing the overall guest experience. The revamped Oosterdam will feature newly designed staterooms and suite categories, including the innovative Solo Verandahs and forward-facing Bridgeview Suites. These accommodations are complemented by the introduction of the Grand Dutch Café and a redesigned Ocean Bar, intended to elevate the onboard atmosphere further.

Following its transformation, Oosterdam will embark on a series of additional journeys, including:
1. 11-Day Adriatic Antiquities Cruise: Departing from Trieste to Piraeus (Athens) on November 10, 2027, visiting Croatia and the Greek Isles.
2. 7-Day Mediterranean Splendor Cruise: Sailing from Piraeus to Barcelona, Spain, on November 21, 2027.
3. 13-Day Cultural Crossing: Leaving from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, starting November 28, 2027.
4. 11-Day Caribbean Cruise: A roundtrip journey from Fort Lauderdale departing on December 11, 2027.

These voyages provide guests with various immersive experiences across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Adriatic regions, uniquely showcasing the shipping line's commitment to enhancing traveler experiences.
