Children from Noto Peninsula Invited to 2025 Osaka Expo

In a heartwarming initiative, Tobu Top Tours Co., based in Sumida, Tokyo, has announced a program aimed at inviting children from the Noto Peninsula to the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo and other attractions in Osaka. This project, commissioned by Osaka Prefecture Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura, aims to provide much-needed hope and excitement to children affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake and heavy rainfall disasters.

The initiative focuses on elementary school students in grades five and six, as well as middle school students, along with their parents, allowing them a two-night, three-day stay during the summer vacation period that encompasses various Osaka sightseeing opportunities.

Running from July 25 to August 19, the program will invite six groups of children to dive into the vibrant atmosphere of Osaka, and ultimately experience the future society highlighted by the Expo. The endeavor not only strives to uplift the spirits of the youth but also seeks to promote the charm of Osaka as a tourist destination, relying on donations generously provided by supportive businesses and individuals.

Tobu Top Tours has been actively engaged in efforts to support the recovery of the Noto region for years. This project is no different, as the company intends to develop an experience that resonates with the participating children. By leveraging its extensive knowledge and expertise, Tobu Top Tours aims to ensure that the children from Noto Peninsula enjoy a memorable summer filled with fun.

In a unique twist, as part of this initiative, the children from Noto will take on the role of narrators, providing live reports from the Expo venue specifically for the residents of Noto. This will include a special look at some of the pavilions, such as the American Pavilion and PASONA Natureverse, highlighting the best that the Expo has to offer.
