Altius Link Joins 'Business for Marriage Equality'
Altius Link Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo and led by CEO Hajime Wakatsuki, has publicly declared its support for the 'Business for Marriage Equality' (BME) campaign, advocating for marriage equality in Japan.
What is BME?
The BME initiative is a collaborative effort among three nonprofit organizations in Japan: the Marriage For All Japan (MFAJ), the LGBT Legal Network (LLAN), and the Certified NPO Rainbow Diversity. Launched in November 2020, this campaign serves to visualize and promote the support of businesses advocating for marriage equality, specifically the legalization of same-sex marriage. By May 12, 2025, a total of 619 companies and organizations have joined this cause.
Altius Link's purpose is clear: "Let’s make our connections stronger, more beautiful, and more interesting." This philosophy emphasizes the importance of individuality within the company culture, as it strives to promote an environment where about 57,000 employees can thrive, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
By supporting the BME campaign, Altius Link aims to solidify its commitment to LGBTQ+ employees and allies, alongside fostering a society where everyone can aspire to live authentically and positively, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Altius Link’s Efforts in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I)
Altius Link is actively committed to promoting DE&I, aiming to create an environment where diverse talents can excel. Here are some of the key initiatives:

2.
Partnership System: Same-sex partners are recognized as 'spouses' under company policy, ensuring equal access to various benefits and leave policies.
3.
Family System: Children of same-sex partners are recognized as 'family' in the internal policies, allowing equal access to benefits and leave.
4.
Company-Wide Initiatives: Training sessions, internal consultation desks, and creating communication environments for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies, including producing rainbow logo ally stickers, are all part of the outreach efforts.
