TCL Launches 'Wishes for Greatness' Winter Wonderland in Milan

TCL, the globally recognized technology powerhouse, recently took part in a magnificent event in Milan, where it officially kicked off the 'Wishes for Greatness' themed winter wonderland. The centerpiece of this vibrant celebration is a dazzling 29-meter-tall Tree of the Games, which illuminates the historical Piazza del Duomo, the heart of the city, and the iconic site of Milan Cathedral. The lighting ceremony, held on December 6, 2025, marked the beginning of a month-long festive gathering intended to uplift the spirit as we anticipate the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina 2026.

The festive installation, enabled by TCL's support, will remain open to the public until January 6, 2026, inviting everyone to immerse themselves in the joyous winter atmosphere. Central to the winter wonderland experience are five uniquely designed transparent igloos, each representing one of the five continents. The igloos are adorned with sports-themed decorations, showcasing not just the essence of winter sports but also the latest innovations from TCL.

TCL's commitment to sustainability is reflected in every aspect of this winter display. The Christmas tree, sourced from the Dimaro Folgarida region after being deemed a road safety hazard, rests on a reusable decking system created in 2021. Its support structure includes a rented reusable steel frame, while the luminescent snowflake crowning the tree has been employed for three years already. Moreover, at the end of the festive period, the tree will be repurposed into wooden boards benefitting the social carpentry workshop at the Monza Penitentiary, showcasing TCL's dedication to environmental sustainability.

The launch of this year's festivities was created collaboratively with the City of Milan and the organizing committee for the Milano Cortina 2026 games. “We are honored to partner with the City of Milan and contribute to a cherished holiday tradition,” stated Wei Xue, Vice President and ESG Director of TCL Technology. He emphasized that this festive village aims not only to connect people during this joyous season but also to build anticipation for the Olympic events, which epitomize unity and achievement among humanity.

Each of the five igloos presents an innovative interactive experience, with one named the 'Harmony Theatre,' designed to symbolize Europe and done up like a classic opera house. Visitors can enjoy the immersive ambiance, aided by TCL's X11K QD-Mini LED TVs and wireless sound systems for live figure skating performances and even have fun with retro binoculars and mask props. Additionally, those who wish to take their experience further can don TCL's RayNeo X3 Pro AR glasses, thus bringing the figure skating performances to life in spectacular fashion.

The inauguration was attended by several dignitaries, including Martina Riva, Councilor for Sports of the Municipality of Milan; Marco Alparone, Vice President of the Lombardy Region; Nevio Devidè, Chief Revenue Officer of Milano Cortina 2026; and Carlos Li, CEO of TCL Europe. Each expressed gratitude to TCL for their generous enhancements to Milan's holiday celebrations, further solidifying the bond between the city and the upcoming Olympic Games.
