H55 Earns Spot on TIME's List of Top GreenTech Innovators for 2025

H55: A Leader in Electric Aviation

H55, a pioneering force in electric aviation and a technological spin-off of the renowned Solar Impulse project, has proudly earned a prestigious spot on TIME's list of the World's Top 250 GreenTech Companies for 2025. This significant recognition underscores H55's commitment to transforming air travel through sustainable innovations.

Selected from a pool of over 8,000 companies worldwide, H55 stands out as one of only four Swiss firms honored on this esteemed list. This accolade highlights the remarkable progress the company has made in advancing clean air mobility and revolutionary electrical technologies in aviation.

Driving Towards Sustainable Aviation

H55 has achieved this impressive recognition by pioneering advancements in certified electric propulsion systems and intelligent battery management technologies. Both innovations are critical in the push for quiet, zero-emission flight. The rigorous evaluation conducted by TIME considered various factors, including environmental impact, financial stability, and innovation. H55's placement on this international platform demonstrates its success in contributing to cleaner, more efficient aviation practices.

André Borschberg, the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of H55, expressed his excitement over this achievement: "Being recognized by TIME is not just an honor; it reflects our mission to create clean aviation that is both quiet and efficient. It reaffirms our commitment to advancing electric flight and its adoption. With our B23 Energic flight trainer and other general aviation aircraft, we are stepping into a new era of sustainable aviation that could redefine aviation training and operations moving forward."

Aymeric Sallin, CEO and Founder of ND Capital, who led the initial financing rounds for H55, commented on the validation of their investment thesis: "H55's innovations in electric propulsion technologies promise a future where aviation is cleaner and much more sustainable. The ongoing development of their technology offers breakthroughs essential for the future of both general and commercial aviation. We are proud to support such transformative innovators."

Across USA Tour: Showcasing the Future

Kicking off a significant initiative in April 2025, H55 is embarking on a coast-to-coast tour across the United States. This event, known as the Across USA Tour, will span several months, running through to August 2025. During this time, H55 aims to demonstrate the capabilities of fully electric flight to various aviation stakeholders and enthusiasts nationwide. Various stops along the tour will include flight schools, aviation universities, aircraft manufacturers, military academies, and major airshows, providing participants with the opportunity to experience hands-on the future of sustainable flying.

The centerpiece of the tour will be the Bristell B23 Energic, a two-seat, zero-emission trainer aircraft powered by H55's award-winning electric propulsion system. The B23 Energic not only boasts exceptional operational efficiency but also offers near-silent flight, significantly reducing operating costs. This demonstration is vital as it illustrates the aircraft's readiness for pilot training and general aviation applications.
