New Voice Additions for Oshirobots

MIXI, located in Shibuya, Tokyo, has recently unveiled an exciting update for their original content, Oshirobots. The addition of two new voice actors marks a significant milestone for the project. Introducing Minami Hinata as the pilot of Aizu Wakamatsu Castle, Katahiro, and Aoi Koga as the warrior character, Nakano Takeko. This announcement comes alongside the release of new footage featuring additional dialogue and re-recorded scenes to enhance viewer experience.

As part of the celebration for this casting announcement, MIXI is hosting a special campaign where participants can enter to win signed explanatory brochures from the talented voice actors. Hosted by voice actress Misaki Akiyama, the show aims to promote the unique charm of the castle, exploring its rich history and structural features. The first episode is set to air on September 22, 2025, and will be available on the MIXI_ANIME YouTube channel as well as Hibiki Radio Station.

What is Oshirobots?

Oshirobots is an innovative project created by MIXI_ANIME, portraying Japan's intricately unique castles from an imaginative perspective—what if these historical structures transformed into gigantic robots? Launched in December 2022, the series originally featured Kumamoto Castle, Takamatsu Castle, and Aizu Wakamatsu Castle through a captivating short anime directed by Masaki Ohbari.

By March 2023, the project expanded with the introduction of World Heritage Site Himeji Castle and several others such as Fukuyama Castle, Nagoya Castle, and many more, bringing the total to a spectacular lineup of castles that will see transformation into robots.

In the coming years, even more castles are slated to join the Oshirobots roster, including Hiroshima Castle, Marugame Castle, and Osaka Castle, adding to the excitement for fans.
