APsystems Unveils Innovative AI Solutions for Home Energy Storage at SNEC 2026
On June 3, 2026, APsystems made a significant impact at the SNEC 2026 exposition held in Shanghai. The company introduced its latest advancements in photovoltaic technology and energy storage systems, aligning with its strategy to prioritize security and integrate photovoltaic systems with energy storage solutions for growth.
APsystems revealed seven new product lines that cover four major categories: AC coupling solutions, hybrid AC-DC systems, off-grid installations, and string-type energy storage systems. A strong focus was placed on solutions suitable for micro- installations and household energy storage systems.
Smart Solutions for Energy Storage
Addressing the increasing demand for intelligent and efficient energy storage systems for homes, APsystems unveiled a comprehensive suite of solutions specifically designed for balcony and domestic installations. These innovative systems are equipped with artificial intelligence algorithms and full interoperability with virtual power plants (VPP). The systems utilize an in-house developed AI model for battery energy storage systems (BESS), which analyzes dynamic energy prices, weather conditions, and user consumption habits to enhance energy self-consumption from photovoltaic installations and reduce household energy costs.
For instance, the new Lake 6 Plug-in Energy Storage System (ESS) promises average annual savings of €1,876 for households. Additionally, all new products in the energy storage segment support market participation through VPP, allowing users to generate supplementary income.
The Lake 6 Energy Storage System
The flagship offering, the Lake 6 ESS, comes with a capacity of 6 kWh and includes AC coupling, featuring high-capacity cells rated at 314 Ah. This solution is designed for balcony photovoltaic installations, enabling storage of excess solar energy generated during the day for use during peak demand periods, thus minimizing energy loss. Its compact all-in-one design supports tool-free plug-and-play installation and compatibility with a wide range of domestic electrical devices. The 2500 W system can power most high-demand appliances, offers up to 8000 charge and discharge cycles, and boasts long-lasting durability.
Integrated energy-saving technologies reduce standby losses, while a low-voltage design of 19.2 V and built-in fire-resistant structure enhance user safety. The IP65 degree of protection against dust and water enables installation both indoors and outdoors, and the low-temperature heating system ensures stable operation at temperatures as low as -20°C.
Flagship Inverters for Home Energy Storage
At the event, APsystems also showcased two flagship energy storage inverters designed for residential needs—the hybrid LSH-6 and the AC-coupled LSA-6. The compact LSH-6 integrates photovoltaic energy generation, on/off-grid supply, and intelligent energy management in one unit. It features a rated power of 6000 VA, a peak power of 9000 VA, a maximum efficiency of 97.6%, and a high DC oversizing capacity, allowing it to support PV installations of up to 12 kW.
In contrast, the upgraded LSA-6 offers an output power range of 3.68-6 kW, peak power of 9000 VA, and efficiency of up to 96.1%. Its full compatibility with most existing PV systems makes it ideal for both upgrading older installations and implementing new photovoltaic projects in households. Both inverters utilize APsystems’ intelligent control technology, enhancing efficiency and user comfort. Their fanless, passive cooling operates quietly at approximately 30 dB. The low-voltage design of 48 V eliminates high-voltage risks, while a charging and discharging current of 125 A permits rapid energy replenishment.
A swift 4-millisecond UPS mode switching ensures stable operation in off-grid conditions. The high power density allows for a 20% reduction in device size compared to traditional solutions, and the design enables wiring without disassembling the enclosure, making installation easier. The parallel operation capability facilitates system scaling and commissioning.
Both inverter models let users increase system capacity flexibly and include four operating modes to adapt to diverse household energy needs, supporting maximization of energy use from PV systems and optimizing energy costs.
A Comprehensive Ecosystem for the Future
At SNEC 2026, APsystems showcased a comprehensive ecosystem of products designed for safe, efficient, and user-friendly photovoltaic and energy storage solutions. With flexible configurability and proven reliability, these new products address the varying energy needs of households, ensuring power continuity and encouraging long-term savings. APsystems continues to push the boundaries of innovation, playing a pivotal role in the renewable energy landscape.
