The Launch of Nura Showcraft
Nura Studios has officially launched Nura Showcraft, an innovative production platform that transforms the filmmaking process by integrating artificial intelligence into every step of production. Announced on September 2, 2026, this platform is designed to assist filmmakers in actualizing their creative visions efficiently, from initial concept to the final cut.
Breaking Down Filmmaking Barriers
As production costs continue to soar and access to funding tightens, Nura Showcraft leverages AI to create images, videos, and animations at a fraction of traditional costs. However, the challenge of converting numerous visual ideas into a coherent film remains—a challenge that is addressed by this groundbreaking technology.
Sylvio Drouin, CEO and co-founder of Nura Studios, emphasized the importance of structure in filmmaking, stating, "AI can generate a shot, but the biggest challenge is to turn thousands of shots into a cohesive production." Nura Showcraft provides a professional production framework, enabling creators to focus on storytelling rather than the complexities of managing fragmented workflows.
From Script to Screen
Creators can begin with a script, a storyboard, or a conceptual idea, and then nurture their vision throughout a seamless production environment. Nura Showcraft aids in this journey, overseeing the production process from storyboarding and animatics to animation and final editing, ensuring that consistency and organization are maintained at every stage.
Additionally, multiple AI models for images and videos are integrated into the workflow alongside ACES color management, with HDR/SDR output capabilities, and a local 4K real-time conversion set to be launched soon.
Designed for a New Era
Nura Showcraft is not just a theoretical toolkit; it is already in use for various projects. The animated series
Rainbow Hollow, created by Noah Wagner, and the vertical micro-series
Astro Burn by HaZ Dulull, which is inspired by a video game, are both powered by this platform. In addition, industry veteran Joel Kuwahara, known for his Emmy-winning work on
Bob's Burgers, is also utilizing Nura Showcraft, along with award-winning writer and director Jericca Cleland, who is working on a feature film with Oscar-nominated studio Nørlum Entertainment.
Cleland noted, "Integrating Showcraft into traditional animation, through an artist-driven, human-centric approach, opens new creative horizons while halving production costs, making independent filmmaking feasible." This statement highlights the substantial impact Nura Showcraft is poised to have on the creative industry.
Early Access Now Available
Nura Showcraft is currently accessible to the public in an early access format, offering single purchase credit packs instead of a subscription model. Costs are displayed upfront before rendering, and purchased credits remain valid for six months. Subscription options and additional plans will be introduced on October 6, with credits purchased during the early access period being honored as per their expiration terms.

To expand its impact, Nura API and onsite services allow partners to incorporate Showcraft and its AI functionalities into their existing production pipelines.
