Green International Affiliates Wins VTrans Roadway Contract

In a significant move for infrastructure development, Green International Affiliates, Inc. (commonly known as Green), a part of Lochner Company, has been awarded the prime consulting role for the Vermont Agency of Transportation’s (VTrans) Roadway and Traffic Engineering Services 2025 retainer contract. This contract reinforces Green’s long-standing partnership with VTrans, marking over 25 years of collaboration focused on enhancing the state's transportation infrastructure.

Since 1999, Green has become a reliable partner for VTrans, successfully completing six previous roadway and traffic engineering retainer contracts as well as various structural engineering projects, highway resurfacing tasks, and park-and-ride solutions. Comprehensive Engineering Services

Under the new contract, Green will focus on providing work order-based engineering and design services tailored to various transportation projects. These include the development of roadways, intersections, traffic systems, park-and-ride facilities, rest areas, and other safety-related transport initiatives throughout Vermont.

Expansion and Future Goals

In a strategic move, Green joined Lochner in January 2025 with aspirations to expand its transportation business within New England while also initiating a water and municipal services portfolio in the Northeast. This acquisition positions the firm to leverage Lochner’s extensive resources and industry expertise, enabling them to tackle larger and more complex projects in the future.
