With over 20 years of leadership experience in military service, higher education, and corporate program management, Dr. Engrum has continually advanced his mission of delivering innovative global solutions and impactful professional services. His service began in the United States Coast Guard, where he spent two distinguished decades focusing on the Response–Ashore career field. Following his military career, he transitioned smoothly into the corporate world, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in logistics, operations, program management, human capital, and organizational leadership.

Dr. Engrum's professional journey took a significant turn when he joined Versar Global Solutions (previously known as BayFirst Solutions, LLC). His dedication and skills propelled him from a contractor position to a role in executive leadership, showcasing his ability to thrive in competitive environments. He currently continues his passion for education as an Adjunct Professor at Bay Path University, mentoring doctoral candidates as a Dissertation Chair, where he imparts his invaluable experience and insights.

Dr. Engrum’s academic background is equally impressive, holding a Bachelor of Science from the United States Coast Guard Academy (1997), an MBA obtained in 2003, and a Doctor of Business Administration (2011) from the National Graduate School. Furthermore, his commitment to professional development is evidenced by a graduate certificate in Project Management from Villanova University and his maintenance of Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification. He is also an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Grounded in a philosophy of preparation and perseverance, Dr. Engrum emphasizes data-informed decision-making and innovative solutions as crucial components of organizational success. His commitment extends beyond his professional and academic engagements; he is deeply invested in community service and youth empowerment. Dr. Engrum plays an active role in several nonprofit organizations, such as Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and serves as the Vice President of Operations for the 100 Black Men of Prince George's County.
