SimCorp Appoints Fiona O'Donnell as Chief Delivery Officer
In a significant move towards enhancing client relations and delivery services, SimCorp, a global leader in financial technology, announced the appointment of Fiona O'Donnell as Chief Delivery Officer. This newly created position underscores the company's commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences at a time when demand for the award-winning SimCorp One platform is on the rise.
A New Leadership Role
Fiona O'Donnell's responsibilities as Chief Delivery Officer will encompass the entire client delivery spectrum at SimCorp, from the initial integration of new clients to ongoing service delivery over the years. This strategic appointment reflects the organization's goal to streamline client engagement and ensure clients derive quicker benefits from their investments in SimCorp's technology.
Reporting directly to CEO Peter Sanderson, O'Donnell will be part of the executive committee, a platform that signals the importance of client services to SimCorp's overarching business strategy. This new role is particularly critical as SimCorp's clientele, which includes asset managers, asset owners, and insurers managing expansive global and multi-asset operations, shifts rapidly to modern operational models.
Meeting Rising Expectations
As clients modernize their operational frameworks, they demand quicker added value and an excellent client experience. The establishment of the Chief Delivery Officer role at SimCorp means that the entire client delivery experience will now fall under one executive's oversight. This dedicated approach will serve both new clients transitioned to SimCorp One this year and long-term partners who have been with the company for decades.
“Clients evaluate us on how quickly they see added value and on our partnership and daily experience,” Sanderson stated. “Fiona will be solely responsible for client delivery from beginning to end, supported by the entire organization. She understands what clients expect from a partner and knows how to deliver exactly what they need when it matters most. A clear accountability structure and our commitments' fulfillment are at the heart of our ambition to be the first choice for global investment management solutions.”
Fiona O'Donnell’s Experience
O'Donnell comes to SimCorp with 18 years of experience working with some of the world’s most prominent asset owners and managers. Her most recent position was at State Street Corporation, where she served as a Senior Vice President and Client Executive, responsible for strategic clients engaged in complex, multi-year transformation programs. Her earlier career included a tenure at ABN Amro Bank, where she built a reputation for fostering strong customer relationships through significant transformations and leading international delivery teams.
“I have dedicated my career to guiding clients through the most challenging transformations, understanding that what they need most from a partner is someone who stands by their side until the job is done,” said O'Donnell. “That is what attracted me to SimCorp—being part of a talented team focused on end-to-end delivery, helping each client achieve value quicker and enhance their experience year after year. I am excited to build a team where everyone can give their best for our clients.”
