The Osaka Kansai Expo is set to be a spectacular event featuring a unique exhibition from Kyushu's seven prefectures, with Miyazaki leading the way. From September 3rd to 5th, this collaborative effort by the seven prefectures will showcase the vibrant beauty and richness that Kyushu has to offer under the theme "Treasure Island KYUSHU".
Miyazaki, famous for its warm climate and stunning scenery, is ready to present its charm through three main themes: Mythology, Tourism & Sports, and Food & Sake.

Mythology: Visitors can immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Japanese mythology, particularly focusing on the efforts to register the traditional dance, "Kagura," as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage by 2028. Attendees will have the chance to try on traditional costumes and experience Kagura through virtual reality (VR). A beautifully decorated booth will reflect the mythical stories and magical essence of Miyazaki's cultural heritage.
2. Tourism & Sports: Leveraging its notoriety as a sports training haven, Miyazaki’s booth will highlight various sport-related attractions, including a showcase of memorabilia featuring baseball legend Shigeo Nagashima. Visitors can enjoy a VR experience showcasing Miyazaki’s scenic spots, along with promotional videos on large screens that will invite attendees to explore the beauty of "Sports Land Miyazaki."
3. Food & Sake: Perhaps the most tantalizing part of the exhibition will be the presentation of Miyazaki's culinary delights. Known for its prestigious Miyazaki beef, which has won the Prime Minister's Award multiple times, the booth will offer tastings of various local specialties, including authentic shochu, a traditional Japanese spirit. Visitors can savor dishes such as roast beef and grilled chicken, along with treats like Hinata summer juice. Exhibit-goers will also have the opportunity to purchase around 150 different local products, making it a true feast for the senses.
