MagicPod Launches Mixed Platform Testing Feature
In a significant advancement for testing automation, MagicPod, a company specializing in AI-driven testing platforms, has officially unveiled its latest feature known as the "Mixed Platform Testing." This innovative functionality allows users to manage and execute test cases for both mobile applications and web browsers within a single project, streamlining the testing process significantly.
The Evolution of Testing at MagicPod
Previously, MagicPod required mobile application environments and browser environments to be managed as distinct projects, each with its own set of testing protocols. This traditional setup posed challenges for developers and testers, particularly with end-to-end (E2E) testing scenarios that occur across both platforms. As user experience increasingly intertwines mobile and web interactions, the demand for integrated testing solutions had grown. Users often needed to verify actions completed in mobile apps through web interfaces, or vice versa.
To respond to this demand, MagicPod has developed the Mixed Platform Testing feature, which enables testers to automate scenarios that span both mobile and web platforms efficiently.
Features of Mixed Platform Testing
Targeted Plans
The new feature is available to customers subscribed to the Enterprise Plan and the new Standard Plan 2025.
Easy Utilization
To start using the Mixed Platform Testing feature, users simply need to select “Mixed Platform” during project creation. Each test case can correspond to either a mobile app or a web browser, although it’s important to note that both types cannot be mixed within a single case. Importantly, this feature supports migration from existing mobile or browser projects, allowing users to leverage their accumulated test cases seamlessly. Additionally, cloud execution is available, with local environment support anticipated in future updates.
Value to Users
This new feature has been designed to consolidate testing processes, allowing users to automate E2E scenarios that mirror actual user flows without requiring multiple executions or setups. For example, a scenario where a user registers on a mobile app and checks the results on a web management screen can now be executed in one go, enhancing efficiency and coherence in testing.
Current users of MagicPod will also be able to utilize existing features, like MagicPod Autopilot and branching functionality, within the scope of the Mixed Platform Testing scenarios, maximizing the value from their subscriptions.
Getting Started with Mixed Platform Testing

Providing Conditions
Launch Date
The Mixed Platform Testing feature became available on June 29, 2026.
No Extra Fees
There are no additional fees for using this feature; it falls within the contractual scope of the existing project plans.
Important Notes
This functionality can only be accessed by organizations that have subscriptions for both mobile app plans and browser plans. Furthermore, creating a Mixed Platform project will consume two of the project limits; for instance, if an organization has six projects with five already created, they cannot create a Mixed Platform project. Also, while local PC environment batch execution and external cloud execution are currently not supported, enhancements in this area are anticipated over time.
