Vantage Foundation Inspires Joy at SOS Children's Villages in the Philippines

Vantage Foundation Brings Hope and Joy to SOS Children's Villages in the Philippines

On February 19, 2025, volunteers from the Vantage Foundation made an inspiring visit to SOS Children's Villages in the Philippines, aiming to spread happiness and foster connections with the children living there. The initiative was about more than just delivering gifts; it was an opportunity for laughter, meaningful interactions, and lasting memories for the children involved.

As part of its community project, the Vantage Foundation donated essential supplies to eight facilities within the village, where dedicated caregivers create warm homes for groups of 8-10 children. The foundation also provided notebooks and pens adorned with its logo to support the educational and creative needs of the young residents.

The day began with an orientation session where volunteers familiarized themselves with the program and prepared for the activities ahead. Upon arriving, they were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm from the children, setting a joyful tone for the day filled with learning and valuable interactions.

The event was designed to promote self-expression, creativity, and teamwork among children of various age groups. For the youngest participants aged 3-7, a storytelling and drawing session was organized, allowing them to express themselves through art. Meanwhile, the children aged 8-12 engaged in an imaginative and collaborative game named 'Build the Village.' The oldest participants, aged 13-19, took part in a workshop focusing on identifying and addressing local community challenges, encouraging them to develop innovative solutions. These activities not only provided fun but also offered an opportunity for dreaming, collaboration, and self-expression in a supportive environment.

After the activities, volunteers and children shared a nourishing lunch together, exchanging stories and building connections. The event culminated in a gift-giving session, where every child received a token to help them remember this exceptional day.

In his farewell speech, the country director Alex expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of SOS Children's Villages in the Philippines, emphasizing the importance of the Vantage Foundation's support. “The Vantage team is committed to consistently strengthening future generations. Our collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages in the Philippines aims to equip the children with the necessary tools and experiences to enhance their skills, fulfill their dreams, and open new possibilities. Together, we can help them gain knowledge and financial independence, allowing them to build a better future and escape poverty,” he stated.

Ivy Evangelista, the organization’s charity liaison, also expressed gratitude for the generous support from the Vantage Foundation—not only in financial terms, which significantly assists with the children’s immediate needs but also through the time and heartfelt dedication shown. “The joy in their eyes and the excitement in their voices were truly priceless. Your presence made them feel valued, heard, and cared for—something truly invaluable. Thank you for being there in their lives, providing a sense of family,” she remarked.

This experience has strengthened the Vantage Foundation's determination to effect change in the world. The measure of success from their visit to SOS Village is not solely the material contributions but also the genuine bonds forged between volunteers and children.
