As part of its continuous expansion and commitment to enhance customer experiences, Michaels integrates these shop-in-shop concepts throughout all its stores, providing an expanded selection of fabrics, yarns, sewing supplies, and party essentials. These innovations arrive shortly after Michaels’ acquisition of select intellectual property and private label brands from JOANN, marking a strategic move to diversify its offerings.

The Knit & Sew Shop

The Knit & Sew Shop is a collaborative space showcasing both the JOANN and Michaels logos, merging the strengths of two beloved brands. Customers will find a curated collection of sewing notions, threads, and yarn, with fabric available in over 840 stores, set to expand to more than 250 additional locations. This new section boosts the existing fabric space by nearly 25%, offering a staggering 95,000 options online, including an array of licensed prints.

In response to popular demand, Michaels has also ramped up its yarn assortments by 25% this year. The shop will feature hundreds of new skein options, including renowned brands and JOANN favorites. The introduction of Gütermann threads and new sewing machines adds to the excitement, as does the introduction of fabric cutting tables available in more than 650 stores by mid-October.
