Bear-kun Launches Ibaraki Natto Dance for 47 Prefectures Project

47 Prefectures Dance Project: Ibaraki Edition

In a vibrant initiative, Apaman Network Inc. introduces the eighth installment of its beloved dance project featuring the company mascot, Bear-kun. This creative SNS campaign aims to promote the unique charm of all 47 prefectures in Japan through lively dance performances. Kicking off on June 25, 2025, the 'Ibaraki Mito Natto Dance' promises to enthrall audiences with Bear-kun showcasing the local delicacy, natto, famous for its health benefits.

Background and Purpose

Apaman Network's commitment to connecting with communities is at the heart of this project. By highlighting the distinct cultural and natural beauty of each prefecture, the initiative seeks to stimulate regional revitalization. Bear-kun's dance acts as a joyful ambassador for Ibaraki, embracing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a focus on creating livable communities and fostering economic growth.

The Ibaraki Mito Natto Dance

The latest dance features two key elements related to natto:
1. Enhancing Absorption of Nattokinase - A critical enzyme in natto that offers numerous health advantages.
2. Showcasing Mito Komon’s Iconic Emblem - The dance artfully incorporates gestures reminiscent of the legendary Mito Komon, who is known for wielding a powerful seal.

The highlight of the Ibaraki Mito Natto Dance is Bear-kun energetically mixing natto, a comedic and captivating representation that underlines the food's health benefits. The choreography cleverly juxtaposes traditional elements, making it a unique and humorous display that resonates with viewers.

The Dance Moves

Bear-kun’s choreography consists of the following moves:
1. Up and down movements
2. Spinning the upper body twice
3. Squatting
4. Raising the right hand
5. Squatting again
6. Raising the right hand once more
7. Waving goodbye with the right hand

Discovering Ibaraki

Ibaraki Prefecture is rich in natural beauty and history, making it a desirable place to live. Its landscapes include the expansive Kasumigaura and North Lake, gorgeous Mount Tsukuba, and a breathtaking coastline along the Pacific Ocean.

The famous Kairakuen Garden, one of Japan's top three gardens, was created by the 9th lord of the Mito Domain, Tokugawa Nariaki. Visitors can enjoy stunning plum blossoms in spring and the changing seasons throughout the year. The prefecture also boasts magnificent shrines and temples, holding deep-rooted cultural and spiritual significance.

Ibaraki's culinary scene is equally captivating with local specialties such as natto, monkfish hot pot, and delectable melons.

Exploring Ibaraki's Areas

Ibaraki can be categorized into three areas:
1. Southern Region: A smart town near Tokyo, thriving with residential options and amenities for families moving to the area.
2. Central Region: Home to Mito City, this area offers a balanced blend of urban life, cultural richness, and convenience, housing many historical attractions and modern facilities.
3. Northern and Kashima Region: Surrounded by natural wonders and historically significant sites, this area is perfect for those seeking a quiet, spacious lifestyle amidst nature.
