VivaTech Celebrates a Decade of Innovation with Exciting 10th Anniversary Event
VivaTech's 10th Anniversary: A Milestone for Innovation
VivaTech, a premier European event celebrating innovation and technology, is gearing up for its 10th anniversary, taking place from June 17 to 20, 2026, at the Porte de Versailles in Paris. This year promises to be a landmark occasion, showcasing significant growth and exciting developments in the tech landscape.
Over the past decade, VivaTech has evolved into a vital hub for startups, investors, large enterprises, and decision-makers. The event witnessed a staggering 300% increase in attendance, with visitor numbers skyrocketing from 45,000 in its earlier years to over 180,000 in 2025, representing participants from 171 countries. Startups have also tripled, and the number of investors has surged twelve-fold.
In response to this growth, the 2026 edition will expand significantly. The event will now occupy Hall 7 across three floors, providing over 30% more exhibition space and doubling the seating capacity. Attendees can expect to see involvement from 15,000 startups and participate in more than 1,500 demonstrations. Additionally, the event will organize 4,000+ business and networking meetings, complemented by a new 'Investors Office Hours' initiative to facilitate connections between founders and international investors.
VivaTech's focus for this year extends beyond showcasing technology; it aims to tackle major technological and geopolitical challenges expected in the forthcoming decade. The event will spotlight artificial intelligence (AI) as a pivotal force in enhancing productivity and reshaping organizational structures. Furthermore, topics will revolve around cybersecurity, green technology, and deep tech innovations.
Several groundbreaking initiatives are slated to be unveiled this year, tackling advancements in brain-computer interfaces, exoskeletons, conversational agents, automated vulnerability detection, and solutions addressing the energy transition. The agenda also includes explorations of quantum technology, space initiatives, and extended reality—setting the stage for exciting technological discourse.
A unique aspect of the 10th anniversary is its emphasis on European collaboration and presence. Germany has been designated as the 'Country of the Year 2026.' This recognition comes with a robust delegation from Germany, featuring an 800 m² exhibit space, around 200 startups, and participation from various federal and regional partners. This strategy underscores a commitment to promoting European sovereignty and technological leadership within the global arena.
For the first time, VivaTech seeks to engage the general public with an open event on the iconic Champs-Élysées on June 14. This free, immersive day will focus on everyday technology spanning AI, robotics, mobility, climate, health, and more, aiming to demystify technology for a broader audience. The initiative intends to attract interest and promote understanding of technological advancements among the public.
In addition, on June 20, the VivaTech Festival will cater specifically to younger demographics, particularly those aged 18-35, by spotlighting AI's societal implications, the creator economy, emerging talents, and hosting a Careers Festival.
The 10th anniversary promises to be an extraordinary gathering, featuring renowned speakers from startups, large corporations, and key institutions. The goal is to position VivaTech as an unmissable global event at the intersection of innovation, business growth, and critical discussions surrounding the future of technology.
As the countdown to this landmark anniversary commences, the anticipation builds for an action-packed four days of exploration, learning, and networking that will undoubtedly set the tone for the technological advancements of the future.
