Exciting News from Tekken 8

Bandai Namco Entertainment has just released the gameplay trailer for the latest addition to the Tekken 8 roster, featuring the new playable character, Armor King. Known as “The Flower of Evil,” Armor King is a heel wrestler who promises to bring unique moves and challenges to the beloved fighting game series. The official website has unveiled detailed information about Armor King, and early access is expected to begin this fall.

In the gameplay trailer, players also got a sneak peek of a brand new character set to debut in winter: Mia Rizz. This will be the first character from the Tekken franchise to originate from Madagascar, adding a fresh perspective to the game. The accompanying new stage, “BAOBAB HORIZON,” is inspired by the vibrant landscapes of Madagascar, providing a visually stunning backdrop for battles. TEKKEN FANDOM Illustration Campaign

In celebration of the announcement of all additional playable characters for Season 2 of Tekken 8, Bandai Namco is hosting the TEKKEN FANDOM Campaign Season 2! This year, the campaign invites fans to submit illustrations featuring the new characters: Anna, Fakhumram, Armor King, and Mia Rizz. Unique character information and design concepts for both Mia Rizz and Armor King have been made available for artists and fans to draw inspiration from.

The submission period is from August 4 to August 31. Participants can submit their artwork with the hashtag #TEKKEN8Art. For more detailed participation guidelines, visit: Campaign Information.

Latest on TEKKEN World Tour 2025 Global Finals

Additionally, Bandai Namco has announced exciting plans for the TEKKEN World Tour 2025 Global Finals, set to take place in Sweden from January 29 to February 1, 2026. Registration for the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) will begin on October 12, so keep an eye on the latest updates regarding the tour!

What is Tekken 8?

Tekken 8 is the latest installment in the renowned 3D fighting game franchise, which has sold over 61 million copies worldwide. This new title introduces several innovative features such as the “Heat” system, which enhances character abilities, and a “Special Style” action that can be executed with just one button, allowing players to engage in fast-paced and aggressive battles.

The game boasts stunning graphics and modeling, showcasing 38 characters with detailed animations that bring their muscle movements to life. The central storyline revolves around the fierce rivalry between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, while each character is also given a unique side story. Players can look forward to creating their custom avatars to combat rivals in the new “Arcade Quest” mode.

Following the success of its predecessor in the eSports scene, Tekken 8 aims to further develop its competitive approach for users both locally and internationally.
