On June 2, 2025, the recently renovated Frespo Wakabadai in Inagi City, Tokyo, has redefined entertainment for children with its cutting-edge LED vision and interactive content. One of the most striking features of Frespo Wakabadai is its vast LED vision system, which covers various surfaces including the ceiling, walls, and floor. The ceiling features an impressive 6m x 3m display area, totaling 18 square meters, while the wall and floor display areas measure 22.5 square meters and 18 square meters respectively, bringing the total area of LED displays to an incredible 58.5 square meters. The walls have a curved design that creates an immersive environment, making it feel like a captivating space that envelops visitors standing in the center. Instead of using flexible LED panels, FRACTO chose flat panels angled to create this unique curved appearance, enhancing the visual experience.
Additionally, all LED surfaces are coated with a protective resin, allowing children to touch and interact with the displays without hesitation. This user-friendly approach emphasizes the venue's focus on providing an enjoyable experience for families.
The interactive content featured in Frespo Wakabadai was created in collaboration with Taki Corporation, which aims to inspire creativity and movement. The floor's LED vision is equipped with infrared sensors that detect movement, allowing the display to change dynamically based on how children interact with it. For instance, as a child takes a step forward, ripples spread across the floor graphic, and playful fish dart away in various directions.
The captivating aspect of this setup lies in its ability to ensure that no two movements result in the same experience; rather, children are immersed in a world where their actions truly influence the digital environment around them. This interactive feature makes the area a true "digital experience playground."
The auditory experience is just as mesmerizing as the visual displays. Six strategically positioned speakers surround the ceiling LED vision, while subwoofers are placed on either side of the wall displays. Attendees can even enjoy multi-surround sound effects, allowing the audio to move in sync with the visual content, creating a fully immersive experience.
