Portopia's Spectacular Comeback
The iconic adventure game,
Portopia Serial Murder Case, is slated for a grand return with a completely new sequel titled
Continued Portopia Serial Murder Case: Burial of Oblivion in 2027. This new installment, overseen by the original creator Yuji Horii, promises not just a remake but an expansion of the narrative with five additional investigation files that unveil deeper secrets behind the Portopia case.
A Journey Back to 1980s Kobe
The original
Portopia was released by Enix (now Square Enix) on the PC-6001 in 1983, quickly becoming a beloved classic with various ports launched thereafter. It made history as the first adventure game on the Family Computer (Famicom) when it debuted in 1985. The new title will preserve this legacy while introducing players to new characters and storylines set in 1980s Kobe. Players will navigate this familiar yet new world, solving mysteries alongside a brand-new cast.
