Aspire Living & Learning Welcomes New Leadership
Aspire Living & Learning has taken a monumental step forward by appointing Erica Hare as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2025. This transition marks a significant moment for the organization, which dedicates itself to empowering neurodiverse children and adults. Under Hare's leadership, Aspire aims to unlock potential and help individuals discover their passions, enriching their lives and communities.
Erica Hare's Journey with Aspire
Hare's appointment comes after her successful tenure as the Chief Finance and Strategy Officer since 2019. Her five years in this role have been characterized by strategic initiatives that have bolstered the organization’s financial health and streamlined operations. This continuity of leadership is vital for Aspire, ensuring that the mission and goals remain consistent while adapting to the evolving needs of those it serves.
In her own words, Hare states, "Our work has always been about more than services; we are creating pathways for people to define and live their most meaningful lives. That fundamental commitment will continue to guide every decision." Her focus on person-centered support emphasizes Aspire's dedication to enhancing the well-being of every individual it serves.
The Transition Plan
The Board of Directors, through its Secretary Katie Franco, expressed confidence in Hare’s ability to guide Aspire into a successful future. Franco remarked, "Erica's dedication to mission-driven work, combined with her exceptional leadership abilities, makes her the ideal candidate to lead Aspire into the future." This seamless transition honors the impactful leadership of Lou Giramma, who has spearheaded the organization since 2015. Giramma will continue to lend his expertise until June 2025, ensuring that the leadership transition is smooth and purposeful.
A Commitment to Growth
During Giramma's era, Aspire expanded its reach and developed innovative support programs emphasizing person-centered care. Hare's appointment hopes to build on this foundation while responding to new opportunities and the emerging needs of the community. Under her leadership, Aspire is expected to enhance the critical services it provides, including residential support, vocational training, and community integration initiatives – all aimed at helping individuals thrive in their everyday lives.
