Exotec Welcomes Clémence Munier as Global VP for Grocery Automation Strategies
Exotec Expands Leadership with New Global Vice President
In an exciting move that reflects the growing demand for grocery automation, Exotec has appointed Clémence Munier as the Global Vice President for Grocery. With a wealth of experience in both retail and grocery e-commerce automation, Munier’s appointment signifies Exotec’s commitment to enhancing its grocery sector expertise.
A New Role for a New Era
Clémence Munier joins Exotec following a successful tenure at Ocado Group, where she was the Vice President of New Business Acquisition. Here, she successfully led a global team that significantly expanded Ocado’s market share, partnering with 15 retailers worldwide through the innovative Ocado Smart Platform. Before her time at Ocado, Munier played a pivotal role at Amazon UK as a leader managing vendor relations and commercial strategies for the grocery category. Her diverse background positions her uniquely to shape Exotec's grocery strategy effectively.
Munier's insights will be particularly crucial as the grocery sector adapts to the evolving needs of automation. Grocery fulfillment centers face unique challenges, having to manage a wide variety of products ranging from fast-moving items to perishables, all while balancing omnichannel demands. Historically, many automation systems struggled to adapt to the changing requirements of grocery businesses. However, Exotec’s modular technology aims to bridge this gap, allowing retailers to scale their operations efficiently without incurring the high costs associated with complete system overhauls.
The Future of Grocery Automation
Arthur Bellamy, the Chief Revenue Officer at Exotec, emphasized the transformative impact automation can have on grocery operations. He pointed out the rising labor costs and the shrinking talent pool, underscoring the need for automation as essential for operational efficiency.
