Cheer Dance Association and J:COM Announce Media Partnership for Enhanced Coverage

Japan Cheer Dance Association and J:COM Media Partnership

In an exciting development for the cheer dance community, the Japan Cheer Dance Association (JCDA) and J:COM have officially signed a media partnership agreement. This collaboration aims to elevate the visibility of cheer dance events, showcase compelling video content, and promote healthy development for youth through the thrilling world of cheerleading.

Objectives and Background of the Partnership

JCDA has long been dedicated to the core principles of "Cheer Spirit"—supporting others with a smile, "Positive Spirit"—approaching challenges with optimism, and "Volunteer Spirit"—contributing to society with compassion. Through cheer dance, JCDA strives to instill joy and encourage the development of future leaders by facilitating competitions and supporting instructor training throughout Japan.

On the other hand, J:COM aspires to be a partner that enhances happiness in daily life and enriches local communities. They recognize the support of youth's endeavors and growth as a vital aspect of their sustainability management strategy. By being a local media outlet, J:COM promotes activities that celebrate children's challenges and achievements, making them accessible to a broader audience.

With this media partnership, the strategic blend of JCDA's activities in cheerleading and J:COM's robust media capabilities aims to expand recognition for cheer dance competitions, invigorate local events, and increase the overall value of this sport.

Planned Initiatives

1. National Cheer Dance Championship Coverage

In preparation for the 2026 National Cheer Dance Championships, scheduled for September and October, J:COM will cover the preliminary rounds across various locations. The details of these competitions will be broadcasted through the J:COM Channel and the MY J:COM app. Additionally, the finals held from November 28 to 30, 2026, will also be broadcasted, including special programs capturing the spirited competition. J:COM will also set up promotional booths and display logos at the venues to further engage with attendees.
