Farm4Profit Media Recognized with Inaugural MACA Impact Award for Its Contribution to Agriculture

Farm4Profit Media Honored with MACA's First Impact Award

In a landmark event, Farm4Profit Media has been awarded the inaugural Industry Impact of the Year Award by the Mid America CropLife Association (MACA). This achievement recognizes the media company's significant contribution to the agricultural industry in the Midwest. The award was presented to Tanner Winterhof, the co-founder and CEO of Farm4Profit Media, during MACA's annual meeting in Omaha, Nebraska, on September 10, 2026.

A New Era in Agriculture Media

As a trailblazer in agricultural media, Farm4Profit Media has established a powerful platform that reaches over 400,000 followers and has gained over 111 million social media impressions. This reach includes 59 million views on YouTube and more than 6 million podcast downloads. The Farm4Profit Podcast, which features discussions with producers, innovators, and industry leaders, ranks among the top 1% of video podcasts on Spotify, showcasing over 700 episodes to date.

According to MACA, the award is given to individuals or groups that have made a sustained impact in advancing agriculture through leadership, advocacy, and innovation. In accepting the award, Tanner Winterhof emphasized the importance of having real conversations about money, mistakes, and effective practices in farming, marking a significant shift in how agricultural knowledge is shared.

A Personal Journey into Agricultural Media

Winterhof’s background in agricultural banking laid the foundation for the Farm4Profit Podcast. Before venturing into media, he spent 15 years as a loan officer and commercial banker in central Iowa, analyzing farm financial statements. This experience informs the podcast’s focus on crucial business topics such as working capital and succession planning, rather than merely production concerns. The production studio, Studio 205, is uniquely situated in a converted Casey's General Store in Slater, Iowa, reinforcing the company's commitment to its agricultural roots.

Engaging the Agricultural Community

The recognition from MACA not only highlights the influence of Farm4Profit Media but also underscores a cultural shift within the agricultural community. Farmers are now more willing to engage in discussions about their financial situations, as Winterhof points out. "A farmer might not pull out his balance sheet at the coffee shop, but he'll sit down and talk about what worked, what didn't and what it cost him," he said.

This award represents more than just recognition for a podcast; it signifies the evolving nature of agricultural communication. Farmers are increasingly sharing insights that enable their peers to make informed decisions.

Community Impact and Disaster Response

In addition to providing valuable information through its content, Farm4Profit Media has been proactive in community outreach. In 2024, the company raised over $48,000 for tornado relief efforts in Iowa and Nebraska. Following the devastating derecho event in 2020, the organization reoriented its coverage to prioritize the needs of affected farmers, demonstrating its commitment to the community.

Looking Forward

As the recipient of the first Industry Impact of the Year Award, Farm4Profit Media stands as a beacon for innovation and collaboration in the agricultural sector. The organization, driven by the mission to improve farm profitability and business management, continues to foster connections and encourage open dialogues within the farming community.

In addition to this award, MACA, a non-profit association representing crop protection industry members across 13 Midwestern states, plays a vital role in advocating for crop production research and public education. This partnership underscores the importance of collaboration in advancing agricultural practices and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the industry.
