Completion of the New Cold Storage Warehouse Project in Ichikawa

Completion of the New Cold Storage Warehouse Project in Ichikawa

The Ichikawa City Kato Shinden Cold Storage Warehouse Project has been officially completed, marking a significant milestone in logistics infrastructure. Developed by Haseko Development, led by CEO Akira Miyahara, and Haseko Corporation, under the leadership of CEO Satoshi Kumano, this state-of-the-art facility offers an impressive combination of size, design, and functionality.

Overview of the Project

This innovative cold storage warehouse stretches across four floors, with a total floor area of approximately 13,635 square meters. Its strategic location approximately 1.4 km from the Chidoricho Interchange on the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line makes it an ideal hub for logistics operations, being just 15 km from Tokyo city center. Moreover, it represents a unique section of the cold storage logistics area that can submit applications for customs warehouses and undergo animal quarantine inspections.

Design Features

The building is designed specifically for optimal loading capacity, featuring a floor load capacity of 2.0 tons per square meter across all levels. The ceiling heights are set at 7.0 meters for the second and third floors, while the fourth floor has a height of 6.0 meters, allowing for efficient high stacking of goods. Additionally, the loading dock ensures convenience for operations with specialized power supplies for refrigerated trucks and dock levelers to adjust height between the truck bed and warehouse floor, which significantly enhances both efficiency and safety during loading and unloading operations.

Sustainable Initiatives

Sustainability is a core concern for Haseko Development, and the company has made strides to address environmental issues. The facility is equipped with air conditioning systems that use natural refrigerants to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, earning it CASBEE certification. The primary infrastructure, including the cubicle for electrical equipment, is strategically placed on the second floor to mitigate risks associated with flooding and liquefaction.

Future Developments

Looking ahead, Haseko Development is planning the Ichikawa City Kato Shinden II Project as part of its ongoing commitment to expand logistics facilities that tackle societal issues within the logistics sector. With increasing demands for efficient and environmentally responsible logistics solutions, Haseko aims to provide state-of-the-art facilities that meet modern needs.
