The Bloc Strengthens European Creative Leadership to Make an Impact on Global Markets

The Bloc’s Creative Expansion in Europe

The Bloc, an award-winning independent network, is on a strategic expansion path in Europe, recently appointing Jon Chapman as its Chief Creative Officer for the region. This move underscores the organization's commitment to enhancing its creative prowess across its growing network of offices in key cities such as London, Milan, Basel, and Munich, as well as its operations in the USA and Asia.

Jon Chapman is a highly decorated creative professional, having held senior creative roles at renowned firms like Havas Lynx, BBDO, and BBH. He joins The Bloc at a pivotal moment when the industry is rapidly evolving, facing global challenges while also presenting unique opportunities for impactful health communications that can make a real difference for clients and their patients.

Stephanie Berman, the Global Creative Director of The Bloc, expressed her enthusiasm about Jon's hiring, stating, "Jon is exactly the type of creative leader for which The Bloc was founded: bold, collaborative, and driven by the conviction that great work can create positive impact. His appointment clearly indicates our creative direction as a company, and I am incredibly excited to build this new chapter alongside him."

Chapman will collaborate closely with Berman and Adam Hessel, the New York Creative Director, forming a formidable creative leadership trio at the core of the agency’s global offer. He will work closely with The Bloc's European management team, which includes James March, managing director for London, and Alessandro Seveso, CEO for Milan and Basel. Together, they aim to enhance the creative ambitions of the agency, providing meaningful, engaging, and effective support for healthcare clients and patients.

Jon Chapman commented, "The Bloc truly feels different. It is independent, people-focused, and firmly believes that creativity can solve any problem. The talent in all the offices, the accolades received, and its science behavioral approach make it a company that grows with understanding and the intention of doing good. I seized the opportunity to be part of this and take our creative ambitions even further."

This new appointment is bolstered by the addition of two new hires who will enhance the team in London. Ruarí Burgham joins as the Engagement Strategy Director, and Ellen Bunker takes on the role of Accounts Director, contributing further expertise and capability to the agency's expanding London office.
