Sustainable Lab Announces the Winners of the Yahaba Town Sustainable Award 2025

Sustainable Lab Inc. (Headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, President: Renji Hirase) has partnered with Iwate Bank (Headquartered in Morioka, Iwate, President: Toru Iwata) and Yahaba Town (Mayor: Shozo Takahashi) to hold the Yahaba Town Sustainable Award 2025, recognizing companies within the town that excel in sustainable management. This initiative aims to promote the visualization and utilization of non-financial information to enhance corporate value and stimulate the local economy.

Overview of Yahaba Town Sustainable Award 2025

This award is a continuation of last year’s efforts and serves as the second annual event. The awards evaluate participating companies based on their commitment to sustainable management, utilizing the non-financial data platform "TERRAST for Enterprise" (commonly known as T4E) developed by our company. Through this scoring system that assesses ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) initiatives, companies meeting specific benchmarks in the three areas—"ESG (Overall)," "E (Environment)," and "S (Social)"—are awarded recognition levels of "Gold," "Silver," or "Bronze." The award ceremony took place on January 28, 2026, in Yahaba Town.

Apart from evaluation, the program is designed to help participating companies understand their strengths and areas for improvement, thereby informing future management strategies and enhancing dialogues with financial institutions.

Award Details

Using our non-financial data visualization tool, "TERRAST for Enterprise," we scored the sustainability efforts of local companies, comparing them against the industry average score provided by the Sustainability Data Standardization Organization (SDSC). The award-winning companies are categorized based on their performance in the segments of "E (Environment)," "S (Social)," and "ESG (Overall)."
