This response has reinforced modoki's mission to exist as a space where relations flourish beyond the traditional roles of care and support.

What is modoki?

modoki transcends traditional welfare frameworks by offering a space that nurtures connections among individuals. Currently, it operates as a natural wine bar, a private library, and a select shop, with plans for additional services, including short-term medical care for children, rolling out gradually. The goal is not merely to provide special support but to create an inviting environment where community members can interact, relax, and contribute to one another's lives in meaningful ways.

The initiatives at modoki will start with the opening of the wine bar in November 2025, followed by the library integrating books, art, and community voices in December. By 2026, they plan to introduce specialized short-term stays for medically dependent children, further entrenching modoki as a vital community retreat.
