China's Largest Electrochemical Energy Storage Station Goes Live with Innovative SINEXCEL Technology

China’s Energy Storage Revolution

On December 5, 2025, the first phase of China’s largest electrochemical energy storage station was successfully commissioned, boasting a significant capacity of 300 MW/1200 MWh. Powered by SINEXCEL’s cutting-edge 1725 kW Power Conversion System (PCS), this facility not only symbolizes technological advancement but also marks a crucial step toward greater network stability and the acceleration of clean energy adoption across the region.

Project Overview

This state-of-the-art energy storage facility is a vital component of a larger initiative aimed at creating a 600 MW/2400 MWh storage capability. The project encompasses 240 battery containers and 60 prefabricated cabins. Once completed, it will integrate a comprehensive model combining wind energy, solar energy, thermal energy, and storage capabilities, optimizing the use of renewable resources while enhancing overall system flexibility.

SINEXCEL, a key player in this venture, has supplied 60 prefabricated cabins equipped with 180 units of its high-performing PCS. This system achieves a peak efficiency of up to 98.5%, employing advanced multi-chain technology to enhance battery protection. The PCS supports flexible configurations for 1, 2, 4, or 8 battery chains, simplifying system management and future expansions. Moreover, the equipment’s IP54-rated cabinets ensure reliable operation in outdoor settings.

Innovation and Performance

One of the standout features of SINEXCEL's PCS is its rapid response time of just 10 milliseconds, facilitating real-time grid balancing. This impressive performance meets major international standards in North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, and China, underpinning SINEXCEL’s commitment to excellence in energy solutions.

With an extensive global footprint across more than 40 countries and over 5,000 installations worldwide, SINEXCEL has successfully deployed more than 12 GW of storage capacity. Their solutions cater to a diverse range of applications, from energy production to commercial and industrial facilities as well as microgrid systems. The successful execution of projects like this reinforces SINEXCEL's technical prowess and its relentless pursuit of a resilient and sustainable energy future.
