Background and Objectives

This initiative develops from the "Statistical and DX Next Generation Leaders Exchange Program (NextStatX)" launched in FY 2024. The Baltic region, noted globally for its dynamic IT startups and advancement in digital transformation, has engaged with Japan's youth through sharing insights on the utilization of statistical data and strategies in DX. The primary goal of this collaboration is to cultivate human resources that can bridge the gap between Japan and the Baltic states.

Rissho University's Faculty of Data Science emphasizes a balance between theoretical understanding and social application of data science. Through this international collaboration, we aim to provide our students with a broader worldview and practical learning opportunities that enhance their educational experience.

In the previous year, students participated in various activities that fostered cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. This year promises to be even more enriching, with increased engagement from the Baltic participants. The experience will not only expand academic horizons but will also inspire students to think critically about the role of data in today's interconnected world.

We look forward to witnessing the growth of these young leaders and the reciprocal exchange of knowledge and culture that will continue to strengthen ties between Japan and the Baltic nations. Through such initiatives, Rissho University remains committed to fostering an environment that encourages international collaboration and understanding among students from diverse backgrounds.

Conclusion

The upcoming international exchange program at Rissho University serves as a testament to the institution’s dedication to international education and cooperation. With the participation of youth leaders from the Baltic region, this event aims not only to share knowledge but also to build lasting connections that will contribute to a more globally aware generation.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting event and the collaborative efforts that will pave the way for future innovations in data science and digital transformation.
