VOGUE's PhotoVogue Project: A New Dawn for Emerging Talent in Asia
VOGUE, the renowned fashion publication recognized globally, has initiated its exciting new project, "PhotoVogue," focusing on discovering and supporting emerging photographers and videographers in Asia. This marks the first time the project extends its reach into the Asian region, opening doors for fresh talent while celebrating the diverse cultural landscapes of the continent.
Launched in 2011, PhotoVogue is a comprehensive program that traverses Condé Nast's global network across 32 countries. By supporting emerging creators with grants and showcasing their work in VOGUE's publications and events, the project emphasizes providing creative talent with the resources they need to thrive. In a region rich with history, culture, and distinctive visual expression, PhotoVogue aims to highlight the unparalleled diversity of Asia through this exclusive initiative.
To commemorate the first-ever Asia-wide call for entries, VOGUE Japan has introduced a localized judging process titled
"Show Japan Through Your Lens". Selected creators from the entries that indicate
"JAPAN" as their country of residence or project theme will have their work assessed by a distinguished panel of judges, including globally acclaimed artists such as Petra Collins, Gaia Repossi, renowned gallery founder Takayuki Ishii, AMBUSH® creative director YOON, filmmaker and creative director YUANN, and Tiffany Godoy, the head of editorial content at VOGUE Japan. Additional high-profile judges are expected to join the panel soon.
