From April 11 to May 31, 2026, the Mitsui Garden Hotels Fukuoka Gion and Fukuoka Nakasu will host the inaugural 'HAPPY SMILE ART' exhibition, a delightful journey through the artistic talents of local creators. This free event, made possible through a collaboration with the general corporation Group Happy Smile, showcases unique artworks created by 28 talented artists from Fukuoka Prefecture.

Event Highlights


In total, 61 pieces of art will be displayed across both hotels, featuring a variety of artistic styles and materials that capture the vibrant culture and breathtaking nature of Kyushu. Visitors can explore this enriching exhibition in the lobby areas of both hotels, experiencing the lively artistic expressions that reflect Fukuoka's history and landscape. This exhibition provides a fantastic opportunity to discover and appreciate local talent, all while enjoying the luxurious ambiance of the Mitsui Garden Hotels.

Mission Behind the Event


The aim of 'HAPPY SMILE ART' is to create an accessible platform for individuals, regardless of their backgrounds, to engage with art. The exhibition features artworks made by artists with disabilities, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages the appreciation of creativity and personal expression. Artworks sold during the event will directly benefit the artists, supporting their future creative endeavors through the Group Happy Smile organization.
