In his new role, Song will oversee the Secondaries and GP Solutions practice, directly reporting to Mike Meyer, the CEO and Head of Capital Solutions. Mike Meyer expressed his enthusiasm about Song's appointment, noting that GP-led secondaries are becoming increasingly significant for liquidity and portfolio management in today's evolving market environment. He believes that Eugene’s extensive expertise in secondaries, combined with an innovative approach, will greatly benefit the firm's clientele. The experience that Song brings will undoubtedly strengthen the firm’s advisory capabilities in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital solutions.
Ted Smith, President and Co-founder of Union Square Advisors, added further praise for Eugene’s credentials, emphasizing the strategic advantage he presents. By understanding transactions from both the investor’s point of view and the GP’s perspective, Song can offer a distinct and comprehensive advisory approach.

His prior roles include significant positions at AXA Investment Managers and Stone Point Capital, as well as beginning his career at Lehman Brothers within the Tech M&A group.
Eugene holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University, specializing in Operations Research and Financial Engineering.
