The Vision Behind the Gather of Achievers
The Gather of Achievers initiative was established with the belief that ASEAN Records and ASIA Records could serve as more than mere institutions for record-keeping. They envision creating a strong, interconnected community for record holders, fostering networking opportunities and collaborative ventures. Since launching in November 2024, the platform has successfully organized a series of seven Gather of Achievers events, promoting shared experiences and the exchange of ideas among both past and newly recognized records.

This initiative was introduced by YB Datuk Chan Foong Hin, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Malaysia, alongside Mr. Eldrick Koh and Ms. Gillian Ooi, Directors of ASEAN and ASIA Records. This new sub-category aims to acknowledge significant achievements in food and gastronomy while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of culinary traditions across ASEAN and Asia. The Food Records initiative will chronicle extraordinary achievements and promote outstanding food brands, enhancing the region's gastronomic landscape.
Food is not only integral to cultural identity but also serves as a crucial element of tourism. By establishing this framework, ASEAN and ASIA Records aspire to document and recognize remarkable culinary achievements and traditional culinary heritage, contributing to the promotion of the region’s vibrant food culture.
In conclusion, the 8th ASEAN and 2nd ASIA Records Gather of Achievers served as a vivid reminder of the extraordinary accomplishments that can emerge when communities come together to celebrate excellence. The spirit of collaboration was palpable, as record holders shared their journeys, all while inspiring others in pursuit of their goals. As the food and tourism industries flourish, initiatives like these will continue to support and uplift local talent while showcasing the best of ASEAN and Asia on the global stage.
