Workshop Overview: Design the Future City
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is excited to announce a creative workshop designed for elementary school students in grades 4 to 6. This workshop encourages young minds to engage with digital technology in a fun and creative way. Designed to nurture creativity and imaginative thinking, this event is part of the "Tokyo Kids Creative Laboratory", affectionately referred to as "Kurilabo".
Workshop Details
Over the course of two days, participants will explore the concept of future cities. Utilizing the 3D modeling tool, Tinkercad, and the popular game Minecraft, kids will have the opportunity to bring their imaginative ideas to life.
Day 1: Brainstorming the Future City
On the first day, students will dive into brainstorming sessions where they can freely share and organize their ideas about what a future city could look like. Using Tinkercad, they will then create their own 3D models of buildings and infrastructure. This hands-on experience will teach them not only the basics of 3D modeling but also the importance of design, functionality, and creativity.
