In a dazzling ceremony held in Abu Dhabi, the culinary elite gathered to celebrate the winners of the Middle East & North Africa's 50 Best Restaurants 2025, where Orfali Bros Bistro in Dubai has once again claimed the top spot. Sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, this event highlighted the rich tapestry of flavors and dining experiences available in the region.
Founded by the talented Orfali brothers—Mohammad, Wassim, and Omar—Orfali Bros Bistro has not only held the title of Best Restaurant in the MENA for the third consecutive year, but it also earned the title of Best Restaurant in the UAE. The brothers, originally from Aleppo, Syria, have seamlessly merged their rich heritage with Dubai's dynamic culinary landscape, showcasing dishes that celebrate their roots while appealing to a broad audience.
The ceremony saw other prominent restaurants recognized as well, with Trèsind Studio securing the second position, followed closely by Kinoya at third and Khufu's in Cairo being awarded the title of Best Restaurant in Egypt at fourth. This year, the awards spanned eleven cities, emphasizing the vibrant dining scene that thrives across the MENA region, from Marrakesh to Beirut and Riyadh to Manama.
Among the awards given that night, Omar Shihab from Boca was honored with the Icon Award, while Boca also received the Sustainable Restaurant Award, reflecting the growing emphasis on sustainability within the restaurant industry. Meanwhile, Tala Bashmi received the prestigious Estrella Damm N.A. Chefs' Choice Award, celebrating her exemplary skills as a chef. Carmen Rueda Hernandez was also highlighted as Best Pastry Chef, further diversifying the recognition shared among the culinary talents of the region.
A special mention goes to Row on 45, which impressively climbed 24 positions to achieve the Highest Climber Award, demonstrating the restaurant's commitment to culinary excellence. In addition, Dara Dining by Sara Aqel in Amman was celebrated as the Highest New Entry, taking the 18th position on the list.
