Over 400 Students Gather at WYF Future Liberal Arts Leadership Summit in Macao

The World Youth Forum (WYF), a recognized international nonprofit platform dedicated to youth engagement, recently hosted its Future Liberal Arts Leadership Summit in Macao, attracting more than 400 students from across the globe. This remarkable event is part of WYF's mission to empower young people by promoting innovative thinking and cultural exchange through education and collaborative projects.

A Diverse Gathering of Young Leaders

From August 24 to 28, 2026, students hailing from over ten nations, including Cambodia, India, and the United States, came together for this five-day summit. Each participant brought unique perspectives and experiences, contributing to rich discussions around liberal arts and its intersection with global challenges. Following the WYF Future Economics and Liberal Arts Summit (WYF-FELS) in Hong Kong, this gathering wrapped up a series of impactful summits for WYF in 2026, which engaged over a thousand youth leaders.

Exploring Climate Change Through Multiple Disciplines

This year, the theme of the Future Liberal Arts Leadership Summit was "Our Changing Climate." With a focus on interdisciplinary exploration, attendees delved into various fields such as social sciences, literature, fine arts, and economics. By addressing the social, scientific, and cultural dimensions of climate change, students were encouraged to think critically about how to tackle this pressing global issue.
