Innovative Disaster Preparedness Training with VR Experiences for Corporates in September and October

New Approaches to Disaster Preparedness Training

The Tanaka Denki Corporation, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, and led by CEO Yoshikazu Tanaka, is excited to announce a series of disaster preparedness training sessions tailored for corporations and organizations. This initiative will include both offline VR experience events and online webinars, introducing a revolutionary method for safety education and training.

What is Disaster Training VR?

Disaster Training VR is an innovative educational content that replicates disaster scenarios such as fires and earthquakes in a virtual environment. Unlike traditional tabletop exercises or evacuation training, this immersive experience offers an unparalleled level of realism, allowing participants to develop quick-thinking skills and effective responses in real disaster situations. Whether organizations are eager to learn how VR can enhance disaster training or would like to visualize its potential applications, this event serves as an excellent opportunity to get involved.

Special Features of Disaster Training VR

  • - Realistic Disaster Replication:
The program simulates complex scenarios like building fires with precision, replicating scenarios that are challenging to demonstrate in traditional training such as smoke, flying glass, and furniture tipping. Participants will naturally absorb the skills required to respond effectively to real disasters through this experience.
  • - Simple Setup for Anywhere:
All that is required is a power source and a table. There are no restrictions based on weather or location; training can be conducted both indoors and outdoors by simply setting up a tent. The intuitive interface ensures that even first-time users can engage comfortably.
  • - Engagement and Interest Boost:
The immersive nature of VR captures the attention of younger generations, contributing to higher attendance rates. This modern approach to disaster training not only enhances learning but also increases the attractiveness of training events.

Participants will find that using VR headsets can significantly elevate their awareness of disaster preparedness. Traditional concerns regarding the effort required for setup, lack of realism, and low participation rates are effectively tackled by Disaster Training VR.

Recap of Previous Experience Sessions

The last session held in August saw an impressive turnout from various corporate organizations, allowing them to deepen their understanding of the possibilities offered by Disaster Training VR. Participants are encouraged to raise any questions or concerns they may have about implementation, which will be thoroughly addressed during these events.

Some common inquiries from the previous sessions included:
  • - Is the one-week rental schedule based on business days? No, it counts by the number of days.
  • - Can multiple contents be loaded onto one device? For stability reasons, only one content is permitted per device.
  • - How will the materials be delivered? Delivery will be via Yamato Transport in a trunk case.
