Primo Brands Honored with 2026 Environmental Stewardship Award for Sustainability Efforts

Primo Brands Recognized for Environmental Contributions

Primo Brands Corporation, listed on the NYSE as PRMB, is making headlines after receiving the prestigious 2026 Environmental Stewardship Award from the International Bottled Water Association (IBWA). This award, which was presented during the IBWA's annual conference held at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, honors companies that excel in executing sustainable environmental projects and conservation initiatives.

Commitment to Local Watersheds

The award was specifically given in recognition of the company’s outstanding work through its Ice Mountain® Environmental Stewardship Fund. For over 23 years, this fund has collaborated with local organizations in Michigan’s Muskegon River Watershed, launching various projects aimed at benefiting both residents and the natural ecosystem. The most recent grants, totaling $78,100 distributed across six local organizations, include initiatives by the Muskegon River Watershed Assembly to enhance buffer zones and expand tree canopy along the Clam River. Additionally, TrueNorth Community Services is restoring wetland habitats and the Camp Newaygo Wetland Trail, severely impacted by a fire in 2024.

In March 2026, Primo Brands expanded this model to Southern California and Texas by establishing new Environmental Stewardship Funds for its Arrowhead® Mountain Spring Water and Ozarka® Texas Spring Water, injecting an initial funding of $250,000 into each. This represents a four-year commitment totaling $1 million for the watershed areas that together cover over 8,000 square miles and serve more than 12 million people. The grants will support a variety of environmental projects, including habitat restoration, wildfire fuel reduction strategies, groundwater resilience, and flood risk management.

Leadership in Water Sustainability

Charles Fogg, Chief Sustainability Officer at Primo Brands, expressed gratitude and pride in this recognition. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the health of water sources not just for current communities but for generations to come. Fogg praised the multidisciplinary teams, including hydrogeologists and biologists, who dedicate their efforts alongside local partners to safeguard these vital natural resources.

Greg Fox, Senior Natural Resource Manager, added to the narrative by stating, "A spring is only as healthy as the land and water around it," reflecting the holistic approach taken by the company. The positive impacts seen from the Ice Mountain fund provided inspiration for similar projects expanding into California and Texas.

Primo Brands' dedication to water stewardship extends across more than 80 springs and encompasses the conservation of over 28,000 acres of recharge land. In 2025 alone, the company successfully replenished 400 million gallons of water locally, setting a lofty goal of 100% water replenishment in areas facing high water stress by 2035. The details of these initiatives can be found in the company’s 2025 Sustainability Report.

Acknowledging Previous Achievements

This recognition marks a continued journey into sustainability for Primo Brands, following the IBWA's 2022 Environmental Stewardship Award granted to Primo Water Corporation, one of the companies that merged to create Primo Brands.
