Wines of Chile Celebrates Coastal Excellence at 'Chile Pacífico' Event
Wines of Chile Presents 'Chile Pacífico'
On June 10, Wines of Chile is set to host an exclusive trade event dubbed 'Chile Pacífico', designed to showcase the country's outstanding wines, spirits, and seafood. Taking place from 3 PM to 6 PM at Home Studios Inc. located at 873 Broadway, New York, this event marks a significant celebration of Chile's coastal heritage. The event is made possible with the invaluable support of ProChile and Marca Chile.
This immersive experience invites trade professionals to explore the rich flavors and traditions rooted in the Southern Pacific Ocean. The program includes a walk-around tasting featuring 20 premier wineries alongside six artisanal pisco producers, all contributing to the beauty of Chile's coastal identity. Guests will also have the chance to savor exceptional seafood, adding to the culinary delight of the afternoon.
Among the highlights is a dedicated coastal wine bar, promising a variety of options sourced directly from Chile's diverse vineyards influenced by the cool, Humboldt current and powerful Antarctic terroir. Attendees can enjoy a sashimi bar featuring pristine ARKA's Antarctic salmon and exclusive tastings of Kenoz's exquisite caviar, reflecting the purity of Chile's southern waters.
For chefs and seafood buyers, the event will offer a special live cooking demonstration at 11 AM, showcasing the culinary versatility of Antarctic salmon, paired with Chile's renowned cool-climate wines. This demonstration is invitation-only, allowing participants to witness the art of preparation elevating this premium product.
Julio Alonso, Executive Director of Wines of Chile North America, emphasized the significance of this event, stating, 'Chile Pacífico is more than just a tasting; it is a journey through the landscapes and flavors that make Chilean coastal wines unique.' Each pour and plate captures the essence of how the ocean influences Chile’s culture, cuisine, and craftsmanship.
Featured wineries in attendance will include notable names such as Aquitania, Carmen, Casa Marín, Casa Silva, Casas del Bosque, Cono Sur, and many others, each bringing their distinct offerings to the event. Furthermore, insights into Chile's burgeoning tourism sector will also be presented by the Chilean Tourism Board, showcasing new travel routes and culinary destinations in the breathtaking coastal regions.
Growing interest in Chilean coastal wines has been recognized as the industry reacts to the unique climate, geography, and innovative practices that contribute to the nation's reputation as a dynamic winemaking powerhouse. Alonso stated, 'The industry is increasingly acknowledging the factors that position our country among the top winemaking regions in the world.'
To secure your spot at this exclusive event, interested parties can register through the official Chile Pacífico website, as spots are limited and demand is expected to be high.
