Starting from August 12, 2023, the company will offer a specialized course at the University of Singaperbangsa Karawang (commonly known as UNSIKA) aimed at nurturing skilled construction managers. This initiative comes at a critical time, especially with the impending 2024 labor shortage crisis in the construction industry and the declining number of science and engineering students in Japan.

On August 4, prior to the course's launch, a ceremonial inauguration was held on-site, marking the beginning of this significant educational program. The specialized course is not merely a response to domestic labor shortages but a proactive approach to ensure that talented foreign personnel are cultivated and retained in the construction sector.

The curriculum encompasses various modules, including a Japanese language proficiency test preparation course, a first-level architectural construction management course, and sessions focused on acquiring knowledge about Japanese culture and industry. This diverse range of topics aims to establish a strong foundation for students to thrive in Japan’s construction landscape.

Students interested in the course will undergo an initial screening process. Those who qualify will attend the Japanese language proficiency test preparation course. From this group, students who pass the N2 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) by March 2027 will then face a secondary selection process. Successful candidates from this round will have job offers awaiting them and will proceed to more specialized courses, preparing them for their anticipated arrival in Japan in December 2027. Upon their arrival, these students will be employed under the same conditions as domestic employees, taking on responsibilities in construction management.

Daito Trust Construction has shown a commitment to international talent acquisition, as evidenced by its recruitment efforts in Uzbekistan last year through a partnership with the National Institute of Technology, Tashkent. With this new specialized program being established in Indonesia, the company aims to secure more skilled foreign personnel and continue contributing to the advancement of the construction industry through international talent development.
