Dr Pepper Commemorates College Football Fans with a Unique Fan Wall of Fame in Indiana
As college football kicks into high gear, Dr Pepper is making waves by launching a groundbreaking initiative that celebrates the unwavering dedication of fans. The brand has unveiled its first-ever Fan Wall of Fame, located in Bloomington, Indiana, designed to honor those who passionately support their teams. This innovative tribute coincides with the 2026 College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship, marking a significant milestone for the fans.
On September 4, 2026, Dr Pepper revealed the Fan Wall of Fame, an interactive mural created in homage to the loyal followers who significantly impacted their hometown teams during the championship run. Traditionally, championship accolades are given to players and coaches, through trophies, rings, and banners, but fans have seldom had a lasting symbol to signify their commitment.
Dr Pepper's initiative changes this narrative. Brad Rakes, VP of Brand Marketing at Keurig Dr Pepper, expressed the importance of fans in the world of college football, stating, "College football fans bring the sport to life. They create the traditions, fuel the rivalries, and turn every season into something bigger than the games themselves. That's why this year, we're giving fans something of their own - a monument that celebrates the passion, loyalty, and dedication that helped make this championship season unforgettable."
The Fan Wall of Fame not only symbolizes the essence of fandom but also serves as an annual tradition. Every year, Dr Pepper plans to honor the passionate supporters of college football, providing them a rightful place in the celebratory narrative.
Created by South Bend-based artist Nate Baranowski, this immersive installation employs optical-illusion techniques to crown visitors as the #1 fan, integrating them into a vibrant display with fellow fans and athletes. Strategically placed in a bustling area of Bloomington, the mural is designed to be a focal point for the community, serving as a public version of a championship banner accessible to every fan, not just those who have the privilege of sitting inside the stadium.
To make the event even more special, Trent Green, Indiana's legendary quarterback, returned to his roots to present the mural and experience the interactive installation. Speaking about the significance of the occasion, he remarked, "Indiana football has always been powered by its fans. When you play here, you quickly learn they show up for more than the wins. They support the team through every chapter, and it's special to come back today with Dr Pepper to give that passion a place in the story of Indiana football."
This monumental unveiling at 124 East Kirkwood Avenue, Bloomington, Indiana 47408 marks a transformative moment within the college football culture and community, as it recognizes the role fans play in the sport.
