Jeep® Brand Returns to the Rebelle Rally
The Jeep brand proudly announces its participation in the 10th annual Rebelle Rally by supporting two exceptional all-female teams, including the formidable defending champions, Strictly Business (#129). Led by Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit, this powerhouse duo is aiming for their fourth overall title in five years. Joining them for their inaugural run is Team Fun•Duh•Mentals (#101), comprising automotive journalist Lyn Woodward and seasoned real estate professional Renée Vento, who bring a wealth of experience to this year's event.
The Rebelle Rally is a grueling competition across more than 1,500 miles of rugged terrain through the deserts of Nevada and California, making it the longest competitive off-road rally in the United States. This year marks a significant milestone as the rally celebrates its 10th anniversary, a feat highlighted by its founder, Emily Miller. Bob Broderdorf, CEO of the Jeep brand, expressed pride in this collaboration, emphasizing the rally’s role as a true test of Jeep’s legendary durability and capability. The event not only showcases the resilience of the vehicles but also celebrates the passionate Jeep 4x4 community.
Both teams will pilot the Jeep Gladiator Mojave, a remarkable open-air pickup truck renowned for its unbeatable combination of strength, speed, and versatility — factors that are crucial for successfully navigating the tough terrain over the eight-day competition.
A True Test of Skill and Endurance
Jeep vehicles have a storied history at the Rebelle Rally, having secured seven of the nine overall wins and five of the eight coveted Bone Stock awards. Over one-third of the competitors are driving personal Jeep 4x4 vehicles, pointing to the brand's popularity among off-road enthusiasts. Team Strictly Business aims to continue this legacy, with both Barlow and Petereit bringing extensive Rebelle Rally experience to bear. Petereit notably has reached the podium every year she has participated.
On the other hand, Team Fun•Duh•Mentals consists of two strong women making a robust debut as a team; Woodward brings her journalistic prowess and Vento adds her experience from prior rallies. Together, they plan to tackle the rigorous challenges ahead, powering their vehicle with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum motor oil, an essential for the competition.
