Fujicco's 'Children's Visit Day'
Fujicco Co., Ltd., headquartered in Kobe, is set to hold its second annual 'Children's Visit Day' at two locations: the Fujicco Kobe headquarters and the Tokyo FF Center in August 2025. This initiative, designed for the children of employees, offers a unique opportunity to see their parents at work, thereby deepening their understanding of the company and enhancing communication within families.
The 'Children's Visit Day' aims not only to familiarize children with their parents' professional lives but also to improve the employees' sense of purpose at work. Following this initiative, results from an employee engagement survey conducted between August and September indicated positive trends.
Engagement Survey Highlights
The survey results revealed the following improvements:
- - Score related to 'Colleagues': 7.3 points (up from 6.9 the previous year)
- - Score related to 'Culture': 6.6 points (up from 6.4 the previous year)
(Note: The engagement survey is conducted bi-annually for all Fujicco Group employees, rated out of a total of 10 points).
These improvements signal positive changes in workplace relationships and organizational culture, suggesting that initiatives like the 'Children's Visit Day' contribute to enhancing employee engagement.
Fujicco is committed to supporting work-life balance for parents, promoting workplace diversity, and fostering an environment where employees find purpose in their work. The company continues to strive for providing added value to customers and stakeholders while advancing its corporate philosophy of 'Creating One Path.'
Purpose of the Event
In alignment with its 'Diversity Declaration,' Fujicco focuses on creating a work environment that respects the individuality and values of each employee. Recognizing that a healthy and fulfilling state of well-being is essential for sustainable growth and increased productivity, the 'Healthy Management' initiative is prioritized as a vital strategy for achieving the goal of becoming a health-promoting enterprise. This event serves three main purposes:
1.
Nutrition Education and Mini Cooking Class
Children participated in education sessions about various types of beans and their nutritional benefits, engaging in mini cooking classes using Fujicco products. They learned while having fun, creating bento boxes to share with their parents after a morning of work.
2.
Workplace Visits
Children had the chance to visit their parents’ workplaces, engaging in activities such as interviewing their parents and exchanging business cards with their parents' supervisors and colleagues. This provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere, allowing children to experience the real work environment.
3.
Interaction with the CEO
A special opportunity to meet the CEO included visiting the CEO’s office and participating in quizzes about the company. The quizzes included friendly topics about the CEO's name and favorite foods, which made the interaction enjoyable for the children.
