Valentina Ferrer Takes on New Role at Glasswing International Board to Make a Difference

Valentina Ferrer Joins the Glasswing International Board of Directors

In a significant move, Glasswing International, a nonprofit dedicated to improving education, mental health, and community development, has welcomed Valentina Ferrer to its Board of Directors. This announcement, made on March 19, 2025, highlights Ferrer’s commitment to creating positive change in the lives of young individuals.

Ferrer, who hails from Córdoba, Argentina, gained international recognition after being crowned Miss Argentina in 2014 and representing her country at the Miss Universe pageant. With a vibrant career as a model, she has collaborated with notable brands such as ALO Yoga, Chloe, Hugo Boss, and Michael Kors, showcasing her versatility and appeal in the fashion industry.

In addition to her modeling career, Ferrer is an entrepreneur who co-founded KAPOWDER, a line of supplements that prioritizes ethically sourced, vegan ingredients while remaining gluten and GMO-free. Her entrepreneurial spirit reflects her dedication to health and wellness, contributing to her holistic approach to life.

Previously, Ferrer has exemplified her commitment to youth empowerment through her involvement with Glasswing. In New York City, she worked closely with at-risk high school students as a mentor. During her mentorship, she engaged students in various experiential activities designed to cultivate resilience, empathy, and a constructive mindset. Her efforts aim to instill confidence in young minds while encouraging active participation in their educational journey.

At the 10th Annual Glasswing Gala in 2024, Ferrer received recognition as the Gala Honoree, a testament to her impactful contributions within the organization. During the event, she expressed her plans to support educational initiatives in Colombia, partnering with J Balvin's Vibra en Alta Foundation, facilitated by the support from I AM I World. "It has been an honor to spend time with Glasswing students and learn more about what they need in order to thrive," Ferrer remarked, underlining her inspiration drawn from the students' stories and the desire to drive meaningful change.

Celina de Sola, co-founder and president of Glasswing, spoke highly of Ferrer's vision and potential impact, emphasizing the positive changes she will bring to the Board. De Sola stated, "We're thrilled that she will be bringing that vision to the Glasswing Board, where she will help us reach even more young people and communities."

Glasswing International has a proven track record in addressing violence and poverty's root causes through education, health programs, and community development initiatives. Since its inception in 2007, the organization has mobilized over $220 million across Latin America, the Caribbean, and New York City, positively impacting the lives of more than six million individuals.

The integration of prominent figures like Valentina Ferrer into the Board adds a unique perspective and energy to Glasswing’s mission. With her extensive background in both modeling and entrepreneurship, combined with her passion for youth mentorship, Ferrer is well-positioned to influence the organization’s future initiatives and expand its reach.
